Woburn Safari Park is located in Bedfordshire, just a short drive out of Northants.
What makes this Park so special is the fact that they have the road safari. This is optional but I highly recommend it. When you arrive at the entrance you show your ticket and go straight into the park where the animals are. Many are free to roam and so can come right up to your car, others are behind a fence.
Along the road safari, you will see wildebeests, giraffe, elephants, rhino, lions, tiger, monkeys, and bears. It’s a beautiful way to see the animals as they have so much more space than what they would get in a traditional zoo.
You can drive around the road safari as many times as you like however on the day we went it was really busy and took us 2 hours to get through.

Once you have finished the road safari, you get to the leisure area. There is plenty to do here such as ride the peddle boats or miniature train ride (both included in your ticket price), brave 5-11-year-olds can attempt the giraffe trail high ropes course (height restrictions and additional costs apply).
Plus, there are some small animals to see such as penguins, capybara, otters, and red pandas. There are also some demonstration shows and displays.
Woburn Safari Park also has Go Ape – a treetop adventure for anyone over 10 years. You do need to book this in advance. You can get more info here.
There is a large outdoor play area as well as the Bobcat run which is a steep outdoor colourful slide.
Until further notice, tickets need to be pre-booked for Woburn Safari park. You can check out their website and buy tickets here.
