Poppy & Sam’s Wind-up Tractor Book…
Most parents are familiar with the Poppy & Sam from Apple Tree Farm books! Even I remember as a child having an Usborne book where you had to find the little yellow duck on every page like you often do with the Poppy & Sam books!

When I became an Usborne Book consultant I was sent a specially selected starter pack of books. Hudson helped me open it and the first book he went for was Poppy & Sam’s Wind Up Tractor Book.
Not only was it the biggest book but also features a toy tractor stuck to the front so was very appealing!
He seemed so excited, and I was quite intrigued so we opened it up to have a look.
what is the wind-up tractor book?…
The wind-up tractor book is a large board book with 3 separate short stories. They are accompanied by 9-12 cutouts and a double-page scene that has a tractor track within it.
Each of the scenes is on the farm and the idea is that you use the tractor, characters and scene cut-outs to extend on the story (or just make up your own!)
The cutouts all come with stands for you to place on the farm. Around the track are prompts and suggestions of what might be happening in that area.
The tractor track is made by a groove that covers the 2 pages that the tractor can then travel around.
Check out my video review to see the tractor in action…
who is this book for?…
Hudson loves this book and enjoys watching the tractor traveling around, however at two and a half he is too young to create his own stories. I think in another year it will be perfect for him. It is also not recommended for children under 36 months due to the small parts.
As well as the wind-up tractor book there are also other themes such as bus, ladybird, plane and pirate ship which you can find here.
Do you have any Poppy & Sam book? Which is your favourite?

I can’t believe I’ve never seen any books like this before. I’m not sure if they’re common but this looks so cool! I can see this being hours of fun for littles.
