Tots Play offers local Mums the chance to have some quality time with their babies. They can engage, play and simply enjoy each other’s company without the distractions of day-to-day life.

What inspired you to start Tots Play?
My passion for working with children has always been with me as I thrive when working in a naturally fun environment. I had previously worked at a Special needs school for 13 years. The interaction with the children was amazing and I loved the sensory element of the work. However, I wanted my own small business. One that would use my creative skills but work around my children’s school hours. I also felt it important for myself, to be rewarding on a personal level for my work ethic.
What age is Tots Play suitable for?
New-born to approximately 2 ½ years. These are split into 3 programs – The 6-week Baby Development Course, Discovery Tots, and Social Tots, so can grow with your child’s independence.
What can a parent and child expect during a session?
Tots Play offers warm and friendly classes and a unique multi-activity play program. Here you can experience a fun mixture of massage, yoga, music, singing, instrumental activities, play, signing, and sensory exploration all within each exciting weekly session.
What are the benefits to a child when attending one of your sessions?
The variety of activities mean that the classes provide terrific value for money plus have a lovely personal feel, as we keep group sizes small. This makes it easy to get to know everyone quickly and make friends for both you and your child. The classes also provide lots of ideas and skills that can be enjoyed at home and shared with other family members including resource making and music downloads.
My learning style is always fun and stimulating, and a place where you and your little ones can learn, play & explore together, making new friendships and great memories.
What areas of Northampton do you cover?
Choosing the right venue for you and your baby’s classes is important. That is why I run all my classes from the beautiful Delapre Abbey, a central location near town. The parking is easy and there is always plenty of space.
Another reason why Delapre Abbey is such a fantastic choice is that you have the grounds to walk and a lovely cafe to visit before or after class, making the venue more sociable for everyone. The building that I host my classes in, is beautiful with lovely, exposed beams and has a wonderful feel.
Do you offer online classes as well as physical locations?
Presently I am offering online sessions following Government guidelines. I am also helping Northamptonshire charity NorPIP through lockdown by offering sensory ideas, tuff tray ideas, yoga, singing, and main class sessions.
What are your plans for the future with Tots Play?
I am very much looking forward to returning to face-to-face classes when it is safe to do so. I would love to continue with the fun that Tots Play Northampton brings to people and I consider myself incredibly lucky to have made so many friends along the way.
