Woburn Safari Park

What makes this Park so special is the fact that they have the road safari. This is optional but I highly recommend it. When you arrive at the entrance you show your ticket and go straight into the park where the animals are. Many are free to roam and so can come right up to your car, others are behind a fence.

Castle Ashby Gardens

Castle Ashby gardens are a great day out with or without the kids. Enjoy a stroll, see the chipmunks and meerkats then a snack in the cafe.

Hamerton Zoo Park

Hamerton Zoo is an ideal family day out for families. There are small and big animals including a white tiger, bears and flamingos.

Grange Farm in Harpole, Northamptonshire is perfect for Strawberry picking. Sometimes there are also other fruits available for picking

Bliss Lane Farm, Flore

Bliss Lane Farm and Tearooms are located in Flore, near Daventry. It is a small farm, you don’t need any longer than 45  minutes to an hour. It is not well signposted from the main road.

Mini Meadows Farm is the perfect place to get up close to animals and feed them. There is also a great indoor play area.

Directory of Farms In Northampton.

Farms are one of my favourite places to take the boys for a day out. You can’t beat getting into the fresh air and close to nature. To me, a farm visit seems to be the ultimate place to take kids – it’s fun, educational and you generally get a lot of exercise while you are there!
