Bliss Lane Farm and Tearooms are located in Flore, near Daventry. It is a small farm, you don’t need any longer than 45 minutes to an hour. It is not well signposted from the main road. I was following my satnav and wasn’t even sure it was taking me the right way when it guided me down a small residential street. However, keep going and you will see the entrance to the farm at the bottom of the road.

Follow the signs down to the carpark. There aren’t too many spaces – maybe enough for 10 cars, but it is free. Once parked, you will need to walk but up the way, you came to the Farmshop to pay for entry and any animal feed. It costs £1 for toddlers, kids and adults, plus £1 for animal feed and £2 for a bottle of milk for the lambs.
Back down in the farm, you go into a field of free-roaming chicken, ducks and geese. At the bottom of this is a field of friendly goats who are keen to eat any of the animal feed you purchased. The day we went in February there was also a number of Kids (baby goats, not children!) in here too.
If you head around the other side of the barns you can visit the sheep and lambs. Depending on the time of year you can feed the lambs. This is usually available from February until about the end of May. You can also feed the older sheep any feed you have left.
This is pretty much all there is in terms of animals. However, you can head back up to the farm shop and enjoy some tea and cake in the tearoom.
Bliss Lane Farm is open every day (except Tuesday) 10 am – 4 pm. Their postcode is NN7 4LJ and they are on Facebook
