Once a child hits around 4/5 years old it seems that all of a sudden you are attending a birthday party every couple of weeks. A fancy shiny toy can be an easy option to gift but lately, I have found myself trying to think of non-toy gift ideas. If I’m going to spend money on someone I want it to be loved and enjoyed of course but I want that enjoyment to last more than the 5 minutes a toy usually gives!
A Non-Toy Gift Idea does need a little bit of extra thought so I put this list together of “17 Non-Toy Gift Ideas for Younger Kids” for you
Traditional craft paint or body paint. You can package it together with some paintbrushes, paint smock or paper.
I loved Where’s Wally? when I was little and now my boys love looking for him too!

A great way to encourage kids outside is with a bug catcher. You could also throw in a book all about the little critters.

Some might consider these a toy but there is no denying how beneficial being creative is.
